Process and Reflections:
For week 5: Continued to develop poster with week 4’s poster concept. I have chosen to use digital exploration of lino printing. The focus topic was fashion sustainabilty. The image that would be translated onto a lino stamp was first sketched. I created several renditions of a female model silhouette, which would be the focus piece of the image. I then had the core messages of the poster written of the model's body. I believed this was an effective way of getting readers attention, while linking to ideas of fashion sustainability.

I have choosen a 2B graphite pencil to draw the sketches. Once I was happy with my image, I drew it again on transpart paper. This allowed me to transfer the image onthe lino board. This is my first time using lino printing. The process was labour intensive and I found caving the lino difficult. The first and second times I tried craving ended with results I was not satisfied with. Along with the occasional self injury, the timeframe I allocated myself to work on the lino print of 3 hours was not long enough. Additionaly, once I had completed carving the lino print, I had difficulties apply a uniform amount of ink to the stamp.
